Factory visits

On 15^th Aug 2023, the Teva delegation visited Lihong company (the wood factory of TEVA’s suppliers). The visit resulted in productive discussions on a variety of topics, including quality improvement, delivery schedules, timber characteristics and origin, and environmental issues.

Led by TEVA’s GM Tiger, the discussion was held on how to identify potential areas of improvement and improve the overall quality of the production process. Discussions focused on how to identifying design of the wooden parts in the lighting fixture and wood’s production techniques that could further improve component quality.

During the communication, there was extensive discussion on the design and manufacturing of wooden parts of the customized lighting fixtures. Both failed and successful cases were shared and discussed. Attention points during the wood production process and the pros and cons of various types of wood were also addressed.

In addition, discussions involved the exploration of suppliers’ sustainable procurement practices, such as forest certification schemes, to ensure responsible and ethical sourcing.

Recognizing the importance of environmental sustainability, Teva actively sought ways to further reduce the environmental impact of the production of wooden components. Discussions extend to exploring alternative materials and production methods that can reduce waste and energy consumption.

Visiting Lihong company marks an important step toward improving product quality, delivery schedules, and environmental sustainability. Collaborative discussions focused on design and production techniques, wood properties and origins, and environmental issues, laying the groundwork for future efforts. With a shared vision of improving quality and reducing environmental impact, this partnership promises to deliver superior products while remaining environmentally conscious.
